Why pay attention to a dragon mom’s words?

At their best, dragon parents are mindful, conscious, and aware - skills that allow them to live and love in the now. We are fiercely present. With my words, I will try to tap into that awareness, to share the sorrow and cultivate the joy.

Alden’s rare diagnosis was not expected, and I certainly never meant to be a poet! I am a mother, wife, friend, sister, nurse .... and when part of my identity became the mother of a child with a life-limiting medical condition, poetry became a powerful outlet.  This website will morph with time, as the journey changes.
